Installation of Carpet

The process starts at the removal of the existing flooring and ends at the installation of your new beautiful, colorful vibrant carpet.

Before Installation: Carpet will be installed over a smooth clean subfloor. The existing flooring will need to be removed and disposed of, the furniture and small personal household items will need to be moved to a safe place during the removal and installation process. Small items to consider moving are pictures, personal items and knick knacks. Bullet Flooring can offer a removal and disposal service as well as furniture moving.

During Installation: After the installer has prepared the subfloor, the installer will then nail or glue down the tack strips to hold the carpet in place along with securing the carpet padding. The carpet is then ready to be installed. The installer will figure the best way to line up the seams of the carpet.

Care & Maintenance

The beauty and life of your new resilient flooring starts and ends with the care and maintenance.

Do:

  • Vacuum regularly
  • We recommend having a regular cleaning service for maintenance
  • Dab spots and spills with clean white cloth

Floor protectors for furniture:

  • Use good quality floor protector pads for all furniture and chairs.

*Carpet may be stain resistant but no carpet is completely stain proof*
